The Salvation Army will pick up your car, or you may drop it off.
The Salvation Army will assist you with the paperwork so you can claim the donation as a tax deduction.
We can handle the paperwork at our office, or if you are elderly or otherwise disabled, we can arrange to come to your residence.
Any person whose name is on the title will be required to sign over the title and provide a photo identification (driver's license). In addition to signing the title, you will also be required to sign a damage disclosure. Transfer of a title requires a notary, we have one on staff.
The Salvation Army will give you a receipt certifying your donation to The Salvation Army. After the sale, we will inform you of the sales price and if the vehicle sold for $500 or more, we will provide you with the necessary tax forms required by the IRS to retrieve the full donation value. You can take a standard deduction on your tax return for a car valued $500, or less.
