Hunger Never Takes a Vacation

Families face hunger every day in the Greater Winston-Salem community. In Forsyth County alone, one in four children will go to bed hungry tonight. The Salvation Army provides food and meals to hunger men, women, and children every day of the year. Last year we distributed over 5,000 food boxes to families in need and fed over 185,000 meals.

But during the summer months our food pantries run low and shelves empty. The food collected during the holiday season is gone and we need your help to restock. Please take a moment the next time you're in the grocery store and pick up an item or two (or more!) that you can drop off at our Emergency Assistance Office at 901 N. Cleveland Ave. You may also make a monetary donation by clicking right HERE .

Thank you.
