'Tis The Season To Stuff a Stocking

The Salvation Army Stuff a Stocking campaign runs November 2 through December 4. Pick up a stocking to fill at any Winston-Salem area Chick-fil-A , Five Below, and other locations (see the full list below). Last year, the Stuff a Stocking campaign helped The Salvation Army of Greater Winston-Salem make Christmas merry for more than 6,000 children in need. You can help again this year by filling a stock.

So how does it work? Easy. Pick up a stocking where you see the Stuff a Stocking Chimney at participating locations. The stocking will include a header that lets you pick the gender and age of the child you'll be getting stocking stuffers for. There's also a list of suggested appropriate gifts. Shop for your child, put the gifts in the stocking, and return it to the location where you picked it up. There you can drop your filled stocking in the chimney. The Salvation Army will pick up the stockings and take them to our Christmas warehouse where dozens of volunteers will be busy throughout the Christmas season sorting and packing gifts for the thousands of children we serve.

You can even get your church, school, business, or community group involved. Simply call 336-723-6366 and we'll make sure you get as many stockings to fill as your group wishes. Each stocking that gets filled will help put a smile on a child's face on Christmas morning. So don't wait! Stuff a Stocking today! Thank you and Merry Christmas!

And many thanks to our friends at WFMY News 2 for supporting the Stuff a Stocking campaign.
