Old Fourth Street Filling Station at 12 Suppers at The Center of Hope

12 Suppers at The Center of Hope, a one of a kind partnership among The Salvation Army and restaurants in the Greater Winston-Salem area, continues with The Old Fourth Street Filling Station preparing and serving the evening meal to the children, mothers, fathers, and single women currently living in Forsyth County's ONLY family emergency homeless residence.

On any given day, some 80 persons, nearly half of whom are children, call The Center of Hope home. The Family Residence gives the people who spend time there a safe refuge and an opportunity to rebuild their lives and regain self-sufficiency. The caring, compassionate staff provide the support services the families need to get back on their feet and back out on their own.

The 12 Suppers at The Center of Hope program is a partnership wherein local Winston-Salem dining establishments generously donate their time, talents, and delicious food to prepare and serve dinner one night each month. Participating restaurants have included; Jeffrey Adams on Fourth, Spring House, Providence Restaurant, Meridian Restaurant, Rooster's, a Noble Grille, Quanto Basta, The Old Fourth Street Filling Station, Bib's Downtown, Cherrie's Cafe, Zoes Kitchen, Village Tavern Hanes Mall, and Vin 205.
