Experience Holiday Joy

The Salvation Army of Wake County serves our community all year long. However, during the Christmas season it is our goal to make sure the joy of this blessed Holiday reaches every family. We provide Thanksgiving meal baskets for a home-cooked feast, and fill stockings and packages to brighten the children’s Christmas morning.

These special food baskets are distributed prior to Thanksgiving through our food pantry program, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1pm.

Requirements: Social Security Card/Tax ID card for household members, a NC Identification Card or valid photo ID from another state/country, and a recent rent receipt or proof of Wake County residence. Individuals or families must have a permanent residence and not be living in a shelter facility to receive the food bags.

This wonderful program provides clothing and toys for children (birth through 11 years of age). The gifts are distributed prior to December 25th, so your children can experience a joy-filled Christmas morning! Click here for information on how to register your child.

A Christmas toy shop is temporarily set up during the month of December, and if you are signed up for the Angel Tree program, you can choose toys for your children during the Christmas season. Click here for information on how to register your child.

Toy-filled stockings are given to children along with their Christmas presents during the two-day Angel Tree distribution. Click here for information on how to register your child.

During the Christmas season, The Salvation Army brings the love of Jesus to nursing home residents and prison inmates, delivering gift packages – and Christmas joy.
