Athletic Program

*Must be 18 and up to volunteer unless otherwise noted

Volunteer in the concession stand during baseball season (April 6 - May 21)

Each year over 1,000 youth participate in The Salvation Army's Instructional Athletics Program, learning
the importance of team play and good sportsmanship. Always maintaining a Christ-centered atmosphere,
there are pre-game devotions and prayers for each sport. Here, children are taught that winning means
having fun, learning fundamental skills and being a part of a team where he or she makes a difference.
Make a difference in their lives. Volunteer!

Coach: Coach a team of 10-15 children in the sport of your choice towards a healthy active life with strong communications and team building skills!

Winter & Summer Basketball, Baseball, Soccer & Flag Football - practice & games days vary by season; average commitment of 3 hours a week

Concession Stand: Enjoy watching the practices and games while providing snack and drinks for our parents and players!

Gym Attendant: Help the Athletic Director maintan the gym or field by lining fields, organization equipment and concession stand materials. Days and times vary by season.

Girls on the Run!: Instill a lifelong love for physical health and teach girls ages 8-13 the importance of health, confidence, and intrapersonal skills.

Requires physical activity of volunteers; program ends in celebratory 5k race; Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:30pm-6pm

Cheerleading Assistant: Have an extra pep in your step? Help with the cheerleaders learn routines!

Fridays; 4:30pm-5:30pm

Volunteer Referee: Commitment to referee the 4 year old league of your choice for the entire season!
