One Weekend Can Make a Magical Christmas for 2,318 Children

With its Christmas Gift Distribution a little over a week away, The Salvation Army of Wake County still needs community members to “adopt” and provide for nearly 2,318. Though corporate and online adoptions have increased, the need has also increased from the previous year. December 6-9 is the final weekend that the Angel Trees at the malls and is also the weekend of Walmart’s Fill the Truck Event. The Salvation Army is hopeful that the next few days will make the difference for the 2,318 children on Christmas day.

Project CATCH: Brunch with Santa

Join us for the "Santa Claus is Coming" to Mandolin brunch on December 7th from 10:30 - 2:30 p.m.! This brunch will benefit the Salvation Army's Project CATCH (Community Action Targeting Children who are Homeless) Program.

Giving Tuesday

We've all heard of "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday", when shoppers take to the stores and go online to purchase gifts for their loved ones. This year, be a part of "Giving Tuesday", and purchase gifts for those in our community who otherwise wouldn't have a gift to open this Christmas!

The Salvation Army would like to invite you to participate in the 2nd annual “Kettles on Parade,” a community project where groups, families or individuals can adopt and decorate a functional kettle. Red Kettles are widely recognized during the holiday season as people ring bells to raise money for Christmas and year round programs.

The Salvation Army of Wake County invites you to attend the Grand Opening Celebration of its new Center of Hope facility on August 10th, 2013! The new building building will house the Women & Children's Shelter, Wake Smiles Dental Clinic, all Social Services programs, and more.

The 2nd Annual MOST Amazing Race in Raleigh

On August 24, 2013, The Salvation Army’s Most Amazing Race, a scavenger hunt-adventure style race, will be held in downtown Raleigh, NC. Patterned after CBS’s show “The Amazing Race,” teams of 2 will be tasked with physical and mental challenges as a “race” throughout downtown – including challenges at local restaurants, museums, and other popular Downtown locations - all with the goal of winning the prize of $2500 cash!
