Project CATCH in need of backpacks, school supplies for backpack giveaway

Children will be going back to school soon enough and Project CATCH - Community Action Targeting Children who are Homeless - a program of The Salvation Army, founded in 2011, is preparing for its annual backpack and school supply giveaway.

Project CATCH is asking for the community’s help in donating items to provide to students. Items needed include backpacks, pencils and pens, crayons and markers, binders, paper, and hand sanitizer. Items may be dropped off to the Judy D. Zelnak Center of Hope, 1863 Capital Blvd., Raleigh, Monday - Thursday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

The supplies are needed by August 5 and Project CATCH will give away the items by appointment on August 19 from 10a-2p.
