The Salvation Army of Wake County’s annual Red Kettle Campaign and Angel Tree Program are underway and on Friday, bell ringing and Angel Trees will be at Walmart locations throughout Wake County. The money raised in the red kettles help fund The Salvation Army of Wake County’s social service programs. Over the last year, TSA Wake County has served almost 124,000 people through its social service programs that provide food, clothing, and shelter to those in need.
The Salvation Army Angel Tree program which, with generous help from the community, gives children in need the Christmas of their dreams. Each family registered for the program is screened through a process that helps verify their needs. Over 7,700 children were registered for the program this year.
