John Wall Family Foundation continues back to school giveaway with TSA Wake County

On Saturday, September 19, The Salvation Army of Wake County partnered with the John Wall Family Foundation for the fourth straight year to host JWFF seventh annual back to school giveaway at TSA Wake County Corps and Red Shield Club (formerly known as the community center). Wall, a five-time NBA All-Star with the Washington Wizards and Raleigh native, was on hand as back to school kits were given out to about 300 children. Strict COVID-19 social distancing measures were in place as the giveaway was drive thru style, with volunteers handing out the kits to families and Wall waving and speaking with the recipients.

TSA Wake County and the John Wall Family Foundation have partnered numerous times on various community outreach initiatives including the last three years with JWFF hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for families at The Salvation Army of Wake County Women and Children's Shelter as well as a turkey giveaway the last two years at the Corps and Red Shield Club.

Wall just completed his 10th season in the NBA, all with the Wizards.
