First of Four Coat Giveaways takes place this Saturday

The Salvation Army of Wake County will hold the first of its four Winter Coat Giveaways this Saturday, October 5 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at The Salvation Army of Wake County’s Judy D. Zelnak Center of Hope, 1863 Capital Blvd., Raleigh, NC 27604.

For over 27 years now, The Salvation Army of Wake County has distributed coats to help families prepare for the cold weather.

Parents and any adult in the household needs to provide a government issued photo ID and proof that they are a Wake County resident and the child needs a formal document with both the parent(s) and child’s name on it (such as a birth certificate, shot records, OR Medicaid card).

YOU MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

* Parent and any Adult in the household needs:

  • A Government Issued Photo ID
  • Proof that you are a Wake County resident (such as an I.D., recent utility bill or rent recent with your name and address here in Wake County).

* For children in the household you need:

  • A formal document with both the parent(s) and child’s name on it (such as a birth certificate, shot records, OR Medicaid card).

Each household may come once per winter season for coats.

Each person in the house is allowed one (1) coat.
