Wake Army celebrates volunteers at annual banquet

This year's theme was Who We Are... Because of you

The Salvation Army of Wake County held its annual volunteer banquet Tuesday, April 2. One hundred and ninety-five persons were in attendance during the affair, which honored people for the their volunteerism.

Gerald Owens of WRAL TV was the emcee for the event. Awards included volunteer recognition from all of the programs at The Salvation Army of Wake County, Junior Volunteer of the Year, Bell Ringing Award, Christmas Cheer Award, Executive Retailer of the Year, and Red Shield Award.

Thank you to our volunteers, board members, sponsors, supporters, everyone who makes The Salvation Army what it is as we continue to service those in need in Wake County.
