Salvation Army Celebrates National Volunteer Week

The Salvation Army of Wake County will observe National Volunteer Week, April 15-21. Volunteerism is the lifeblood for the services that SAWC is able to provide to the community and citizens of Wake County.

“While our Christmas efforts are phenomenal, The Salvation Army of Wake County works all through the year to do the most good for those in the most need in our community,” said Jami Britt Noble, Volunteer and Resource Coordinator for The Salvation Army of Wake County. “In our service with the community, we are grateful to have faithful volunteers who also believe in our mission to meet human needs all through the year. On behalf of The Salvation Army of Wake County, we thank all our volunteers for the hours they have donated to our programs.”

The Salvation Army of Wake County has continuous opportunities available for volunteering and last year, volunteers worked 50,375 hours with SAWC. This year during National Volunteer Week, SAWC is placing an emphasis on volunteering at one of its two Family Thrift Store locations as we as in its Family Store Warehouse.
