Teams have until August 18 at noon to register for Raleigh’s MOST Amazing Race
RALEIGH, N.C. (August 15, 2014) – In order to reach their goal of $25,000 for the Community Center’s Summer Day Camp, Athletic and After School programs, eight more teams are needed to compete in The Salvation Army’s 2014 MOST Amazing Race. But there are only a few days left for teams to register! Thirty teams are able to participate in this year’s race, which holds exciting new locations, additional cash prizes, and challenge prizes. Not only is this an amazing time, but the funds raised enable The Salvation Army’s Community Center to offer scholarships and discounts to families experiencing financial hardships and allow kids to have the same opportunities and experiences of their peers. So the more teams that register, the more underprivileged children get to participate in athletics, have a safe place to go after school, and just get to be a kid in the summer. That means you need to grab a partner before Monday, August 18 at 12pm and register for The MOST Amazing Race at www.mostamazingraceraleigh.com.
August 23 will mark The Salvation Army’s third annual MOST Amazing Race in downtown Raleigh. This adventure race presented by Vision Stairways & Millwork, require teams to compete in mental and physical challenges at popular locations throughout downtown Raleigh for the grand prize of $2500. So far twenty-two teams have registered for the event and are excitedly raising funds to be in the top three. Just like the TV show, “Amazing Race,” these teams will receive added incentives like skipping a challenge. Several teams are back for the second or third time, and The Salvation Army is grateful for these AMAZING people. For more information visit www.mostamazingraceraleigh.com.
