YOUNG LEADERS UNITED PACK FOOD BAGS FOR FAMILIES IN NEED
“Making a positive impact on our community”
HIGH POINT, NC (February 6, 2017) – Young Leaders United (YLU), a program of the United Way of Greater High Point, met on Wednesday, January 25th to pack food bags for families in need of assistance at The Salvation Army of High Point.
YLU members enjoyed packing over 200 bags of food for local families in need as part of their mission to help end food insecurity in High Point. From spaghetti noodles, to juice and peanut butter, everyone learned the importance of making sure that well-balanced, healthy meals could be made from the food items in each bag. The members of Young Leaders United would like to thank The Salvation Army of High Point for allowing them to lend a helping hand to those in need.
YLU member, Joel Fingerhut, explained, “It was a pleasure to serve others and we had a great time doing it. I’m so happy the YLU group is able to give us opportunities to serve the community!”
