More than 3,500 school supply items were collected throughout the school supply drive! Community members generously donated paper, notebooks, rules, crayons, pencils, Kleenex, and so much more to make sure every child in High Point has the tools they need to be successful in the new school year.
Special thanks to Krispy Kreme, Staples, and Walmart on North Main Street in High Point for being amazing collection sites! As well as our amazing sponsors, FOX8 WGHP and Thomas Built Buses!
All of the school supplies donated through the “Stuff the Bus” campaign will go directly to local students in need, including The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, and children living in The Salvation Army Center of Hope Family Shelter. Thank You from Major Gary Sturdivant:
"Many children fall short of their academic potential because they lack the necessary tools to be successful,” explains Major Gary Sturdivant.“We are grateful to our partners and this community for helping us stuff the bus to promote education and prepare our children for their bright futures."
