Rotary Can Build

Every year the members of the High Point Rotary Club collect food items for the Triad Holiday Food Drive. Last year they built a model sized tractor trailer with their canned goods. This year they designed a model train and used 1,550 food items to build an amazing structure bringing awareness to food insecurity. Three years ago the Triad area ranked #1 in food insecurity, illuminating the issue that too many families did not have access to enough food. With the Rotary Club's help and Publix support, they drew plans and built the model train to encourage customers to purchase canned goods and fight hunger in our community.
