The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Greenville Raises $23,000 Through Superhero 5K

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Greenville raised over $23,000 at the fifth annual Superhero 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, August 17, 2019.

The Superhero 5K and Fun Run is the Boys & Girls Club’s annual fundraiser, and all monies raised from this event support the Boys & Girls Club’s year-round programs. Every year, the Boys & Girls Club serves over 400 local, at-risk youth through after school and summer day camp programs.

“We are so thankful to all those who made our fifth annual Superhero 5K and Fun Run possible,” says Mike Burdine, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club. “Because of our sponsors, volunteers and participants, the Boys & Girls Club raised over $23,000 to help support our after school and summer camp programs. Thanks to our generous community, we will continue building great futures for more than 400 local youth each year.”
