The Salvation Army of Greenville Celebrates the 65th National Salvation Army Week

The Salvation Army of Greenville will celebrate the 65th annual National Salvation Army Week on May 13-18, 2019. This week-long celebration honors donors and volunteers across the nation who support their local Salvation Army.

Every year, The Salvation Army of Greenville serves over 31,000 people through the support of countless donors and over 5,400 volunteers. During National Salvation Army Week, the Greenville community is invited to get involved with The Salvation Army by volunteering, donating or advocating. The public can also connect with The Salvation Army through The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, the Family Stores, The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary and Echelon, The Salvation Army’s emerging professionals auxiliary.

“We want to thank our donors and volunteers across Greenville, Pickens and Oconee Counties,” says Major Pete Costas, Area Commander of The Salvation Army of Greenville. “Your support has made The Salvation Army Greenville Area Command one of the most influential chapters in the Carolinas. Thanks to you, we will continue meeting needs without discrimination through our year-round programs and services.”

The Greenville Salvation Army will host several public awareness initiatives throughout the week.
