The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Greensboro’s tagline is GREAT FUTURES START HERE and Disaster One’s focus is on restoring futures. “We’re both focused on making the future as bright as possible for the people we serve.” That’s the sentiment of Disaster One’s President Ras Feniger and the drive behind his company’s Chips for Children fundraiser.
Disaster One’s Greensboro division presented a $25,000 donation to The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greensboro. The funds were collected from the proceeds of the “Chips for Children” casino night fundraising event, held on September 25th at the Empire Room in Downtown Greensboro. More than 220 guests attended the second annual event that included blackjack, roulette and poker tables, auctions, and prizes.
Disaster One is a company serving commercial and residential clients with restoration services needed after a major fire. Their president, Ras Fenger stated, “The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greensboro continue to do fantastic work with at-risk kids in our neighborhood, and every dollar spent on their programs comes back many times by the successful careers of these young people. We’re thrilled that we could build on the success of last year’s event and make an even larger contribution to your efforts in 2015. “
