Chips for Children

The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Greensboro’s tagline is GREAT FUTURES START HERE and Disaster One’s focus is on restoring futures. “We’re both focused on making the future as bright as possible for the people we serve.” That’s the sentiment of Disaster One’s President Ras Feniger and the drive behind his company’s Chips for Children fundraiser.

Opening a Field of Dreams

Baseball Hall of Fame Star Cal Ripken, Jr. and NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick believe in the future of our Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club Members. They believe in their possibilities and have invested their foundations money in a $1.2 million sports park at the site of our future Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club and Community Center. The two joined more than 130 others for the ribbon cutting of the Kevin Harvick Foundation Park on November 4th.

Greensboro is Doing The Most Good

Thursday October 22nd was our annual Doing The Most Good Breakfast where influential community members joined for a delicious meal at the O. Henry Hotel in Greensboro, NC. This event was a wonderful occasion for volunteers to get excited about the upcoming Christmas season and learn of all the opportunities where they can make a difference.

Giving Cans to Reduce Hunger in the Triad

The Triad Holiday Food Drive is an opportunity for local businesses to collect as many canned goods as possible for The Salvation Army of Greensboro food pantry. The food drive ends with a holiday celebration with the Greensboro and Winston Salem Symphonies performing beautiful concerts, where admission "costs" one canned good.

Helping Angels This Christmas

Every year The Salvation Army of Greensboro helps make Christmas special for every child we serve. Please consider adopting an Angel to provide toys to our children or volunteering your time during the toy warehouse distribution.
