The Salvation Army After-School Care Program
January started a new year, and for many that may bring some changes along with it. We are excited to say that we have a solution for your after-school care needs! Our After-School Care Program meets the many needs and wants of both parents and students in our area. Boys and girls ages 5 to 12 years old are picked up from their schools by The Salvation Army bus and brought back to our Community Center. Once here, they participate in homework time, where they receive one-on-one tutoring from local well-qualified volunteers. Snack time proves to always be a favorite among the children. The afternoon is rounded out with free play and structured games, making sure that all areas of health are addressed. And at an affordable price, it's a win-win situation for parents and children alike!
How to Register
Registration for the 2016-2017 school year is now open! Come by our Community Center at 220 E. Russell Street to apply or call our Interim Community Center Director, Robyn Christian, at (910) 483-8119 for more information.
The After School Care program is open from 2:30 to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. All children must be picked up by 6:00 PM.

|One child||$30 per week|
|Two children||$50 per week|
|Three children||$75 per week|
|Four children||$100 per week|
|Five children||$125 per week|
We pick up from the following schools:

|Luther Nick Jeralds Middle School|
If your children do not attend one of the schools listed above, you are welcome to pick them up from school and bring them to our program. Your weekly fee will be discounted to reflect that we are not picking the child up from school. Please call or stop by for more details.
