Donations Needed For Fayetteville Shelter After Hurricane Matthew

Looking for ways to help The Salvation Army of Fayetteville?

UPDATE:  Donations are NO LONGER NEEDED in Fayetteville.  Thank you to the whole community who came together to help those in need!  We are blown away by the compassion and strength our citizens have shown these past few weeks.

The Salvation Army is continuing to house homeless people in our Community Center gymnasium after evacuating the residents from our Emergency Shelter when it flooded on Saturday, October 8.

Donate Items to Shelter

We are asking for those who want to help to donate the following items:

Travel size toiletries, including:

  • soap
  • toothpaste/toothbrushes
  • razors/shaving cream
  • shampoo/conditioner
  • feminine products

We are also in need of:

  • pillows and throw blankets
  • large black trashbags
  • arts and craft supplies

People who wish The Salvation Army of Fayetteville to help by donating these items can drop them off at the community center located at 220 E. Russell Street, Fayetteville. NC.

Please note: This request is for the shelter in Fayetteville, NC only. We are not currently accepting in-kind donations in other locations affected by Hurricane Matthew. In most cases, the best way to help in response to a disaster is to make a financial contribution.
