The Salvation Army is first and foremost a Christian church. We hold services every Sunday at thousands of centers around the world, and dozens here in the Carolinas. Our faith is the foundation for everything else that we do. There are many ways to get involved with the faith community at our church. We offer many different opportunities for fellowship and community. Come, gather with us!
We gather for worship on Sundays at 11:00AM, for a bilingual service.
Once a month, a small group goes to visit several of our nursing home facilities to visit and encourage the residents. They fellowship with each other by making crafts and playing games.
Our Hispanic Ministry includes a Men's Group that meets every Friday evening at 7:30 PM.
"Ironmen" meet each Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM. Their goal is to "transform their world with fellowship, community service, and Bible Study."
Ladies meet each Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM for Bible Study, and then share a time of fellowship at 7:00 PM. During the fellowship time, they learn a new skill, play a fun game, and get to know each other a little better!
Our Youth Ministry is for kids ages 6-14. We teach Biblical Principles in a fun, engaging way. Our youth are the Christian leaders of tomorrow!
The Music Ministry at The Salvation Army of Durham is for children and adults of all ages. Each participant will have the opportunity to learn a brass instrument, and even a chance to perform at some of our special events.
All worship activities take place at 909 Liberty Street, Durham NC 27702. Please call our office for more information, or email our Corps Assistant directly!
