In 2016 alone, The Salvation Army of Durham served more than 2,000 individuals through our Christmas assistance programming. This would not have been possible without the generosity of our donors and community partnerships. Our goal each year is to ensure that families feel loved and supported during the holiday season. Whether that is providing Christmas presents for children, warm winter clothing for families, or helping parents keep food on the table, we want you to know that we are here.
In order to register for this program at The Salvation Army of Durham, you must attend one of our family registration sessions and bring the documentation that is listed in the links above. We will go over your financial statements with you and determine if you qualify for our program. Once you qualify, you will be asked to come back the week before Christmas to pick up the gifts for your children!
Please note, this program is only for families with children under age 13. Teens and up do not qualify for Christmas assistance.
This year, Christmas Angel Tree Registration is taking place from September 27 - September 29 in our Chapel at 909 Liberty Street, Durham NC 27701. There will be two sessions: 9:00am-11:00am, and 1:00pm-4:00pm.
This info is TBA. If you have registered for Christmas Angel Tree, you will receive a call with the location and information you need in order to pick up your gifts.
