The NaviGATORS come to Durham!

To kick of NATIONAL TEEN WEEK at The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Durham, we wanted to share about an awesome group that came to serve with us last week.

The Navigators is an international, interdenomenational Christian ministry that aims to “Know Christ and to Make Him Known.” This ministry can be found on college campuses all over the country. One campus in particular, The University of Florida, graced us with their presence for a few days! Yes, that’s right. A group of students drove up from Florida to Durham, just to serve at our Boys & Girls Club and our Family Thrift Store. How cool is that?

I had a chance to speak with a few members of the team over the course of two days, and one thing in particular stuck out to me: they were here to serve. One of the team leaders, Cameron, let us know that they were here to help where we needed it most. And that’s exactly what they did!

We are thankful to have such amazing groups of students and young adults who want to help our organization thrive. Our Club kids won’t soon forget the impact made by The Navigators, that’s for sure. Thank you for sharing your artistic talents and your love for Christ with us!
