Monday, May 17

Community Service Day
The Salvation Army of the Midlands will be conducting a mass cleanup in support of the 2021 Great American Cleanup campaign. The Salvation Army is working in conjunction with Keep the Midlands Beautiful organization taking action to improve and beautify our community environment.


Tuesday, May 18

Advisory Board and Staff Appreciation Day
The Salvation Army of the Midlands will host an appreciation luncheon in honor of our dedicated Advisory Board members and staff. The Advisory Board members and staff play a vital role in helping to fight the good fight against poverty, hunger, homelessness and hopelessness in the Midlands community every day.


Wednesday, May 19

Day of Prayer
Commanding officers of The Salvation Army of the Midlands, Major Henry Morris and Major Benita Morris, will lead prayer throughout the day via FaceBook. Prayers will be focused on healing of nation, state and our community during this time.


Thursday, May 20

Volunteer Appreciation Day
The Salvation Army of the Midlands will take a moment to recognize and appreciate the time volunteers dedicate to our community. The Army will present a trophy to four companies that have been instrumental in providing employee volunteers to help facilitate our programs. The Salvation Army will honor the efforts of Coldwell Banker Realty, Rhodes Graduation Services, Aflac Group and Wells Fargo Bank.


Saturday, May 22

Celebrate The Family Store Volunteers, Donors and Customers
The Salvation Army of the Midlands will host a day of appreciation for our volunteers, donors and customers of The Salvation Army Family Stores. The 'thank you' event will be held at our Family Store located at 1312 N. Millwood Avenue. The event will feature music, food and a $10 bag to stuff!

All Family Store proceeds are used to support year-round programs combating crisis situations, food insecurity and poverty.


Sunday, May 23

Feeding Our Souls
Commanding officer Major Henry Morris will lead church service at 10am at The Salvation Army Center for Worship and Service (3024 Farrow Road) or join the service on FaceBook Live.


Each year, we honor several partners during National Salvation Army Week. We present each partner with a 'Doing The Most Good' award for their efforts supporting our mission and our community, The recipients for the 2021 'Doing The Most Good' awards are:
