Feeding Our Heroes at Prisma Health

The Salvation Army of the Midlands will serve food and drink to the staff at Prisma Health. Prisma Health plays a vital role in our community. The Salvation Army wants to thank the staff for serving on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prisma Health employees volunteer throughout the year with The Salvation Army of the Midlands. Volunteers help us in "Doing The Most Good" changing lives, uplifting families and supporting our community.

Salvation Army of the Midlands will present a 'Doing The Most Good' award to the University of South Carolina School of Medicine for helping out tremendously by serving meals to homeless during the COVID-19 pandemic.


Wednesday, May 20

Day of Prayer
Commanding officers of The Salvation Army of the Midlands, Major Henry Morris and Major Benita Morris, will lead prayer throughout the day via FaceBook Live. Prayers will be focused on healing of nation, state and our community during this time.


Thursday, May 21

Feeding Our Heroes City/County Department of Emergency Management

The Salvation Army of the Midlands will serve food and drink to the City of Columbia and Richland County Departments of Emergency Management. The Salvation Army works closely with emergency management officials during times of disaster. The Salvation Army wants to honor the efforts by the departments during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Friday, May 22

Feeding Our Children

The Salvation Army of the Midlands will serve food and drink in a local neighborhood experiencing food insecurity. The Salvation Army will also distribute books and treats and help bring outdoor fun for children that have been home bound while school as been closed due to COVID-19.


Sunday, May 24

Feeding Our Souls

Commanding officer Major Henry Morris will lead a drive-in church service at 10am at The Salvation Army Center for Worship and Service (3024 Farrow Road) or join the service on FaceBook Live.
