Offering Hope and a Helping Hand
Disaster relief teams bring together Salvation Army Officers, staff, and volunteers who provide food, shelter, clothing, and spiritual comfort to first responders and victims of disasters in Charlotte and throughout the nation. Floods, fires, and hurricanes do devastating harm. Since 1900, we have offered aid to people in places where we can do the most good—and stay as long as we are needed.
The best way to help during a disaster is often to make a financial contribution. Cash donations allow disaster responders to immediately meet the specific needs of disaster survivors without incurring many of the costs associated with sorting, packing, transporting and distributing donated goods. Salvation Army disaster services are funded entirely by donors, and The Salvation Army uses 100% of all disaster donations in support of disaster relief operations.
