Your organization can ring bells at one of our 50+ locations around Charlotte. Dance, sing, perform, and ring the bell! You will not only raise money for the programs that serve our community, but you will help us to save money as well. For every kettle stand that is unmanned by a volunteer, we have to staff that location with a paid employee. Your volunteerism allows us to put more funding toward programs that help.
Volunteer at the Christmas Center
More than 11,000 people in the Charlotte area volunteer to assist The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte's work. Our volunteers are critical partners in helping us fulfill our promise of Doing the Most Good for people in need.
Angel Tree Locations
You see them at the malls or in your work place: Angel Trees adorned with the names of thousands of children in Charlotte who need your help. This year you're helping to give joy in the form of new clothes, shoes, and toys to more than 11,000 children.
Virtual Angel Tree (Will go live Nov. 5)
WCCB Charlotte/The Salvation Army operates the Angel Tree program to provide Christmas assistance to those in need in our community. Families register children age 12 and under to receive new Christmas gifts for the holidays. Individuals, families, groups and companies are given the opportunity to adopt angels and put a smile on more than 11,00 children's faces. Select a child online and make their Christmas bright.
Virtual Red Kettle
Want to donate at the comfort of your home? Give through our online Red Kettle and change lives for the better, this Christmas and all year long with the virtual Red Kettle powered by Power 98 and V101.9.
Angel Tree Request Form
Angel Tree gives individuals and partnering corporations an opportunity to adopt less fortunate children and senior citizens and provide personalized gifts and necessities to those who would otherwise receive very little or nothing during the holiday season. There is a minimum of 10 angels per request and angels are due back to the Christmas Center by before or on December 10th.
Magical Toy Drive Form
Every child registered through The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program is guaranteed to receive gifts, but each year the number of children registered outnumbers the amount of children adopted by the community. The toys collected through toy drives provide gifts for children that were not sponsored. Many thanks to WCNC for helping to make this possible.
Backpack Request Form (In Lieu of stockings we are providing backpacks with school supplies this year)
The Salvation Army registers over 11,000 children where they will receive Christmas gifts and backpacks. Make Christmas magical for a child in need...fill a backpack! Backpacks will be available for pick up starting October 19th at our Christmas Center. There is a minimum of 10 backpacks per request and backpacks are due back to the Christmas Center by December 10th.
