The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance Program serves qualified families in Mecklenburg and Union Counties who have children between the ages of 0-12 years old. We also have a similar program for residents who are over 60 years old and in need of assistance.

You see them at the malls or in your work place: Angel Trees adorned with the names of thousands of children in Charlotte who need your help. This year you're helping to give joy in the form of new clothes, shoes, and toys to more than 11,000 children.
Want to donate at the comfort of your home? Give through our online Red Kettle and change lives for the better, this Christmas and all year long with the virtual Red Kettle powered by Power 98 and V101.9
Every child registered through The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program is guaranteed to receive gifts, but each year the number of children registered outnumbers the amount of children adopted by the community. The toys collected through toy drives provide gifts for children that were not sponsored. Many thanks to WCNC for helping to make this possible.
Angel Tree gives individuals and partnering corporations an opportunity to adopt less fortunate children and senior citizens and provide personalized gifts and necessities to those who would otherwise receive very little or nothing during the holiday season.
The Salvation Army register over 10,000 children where they will receive Christmas gifts and stockings. Make Christmas magical for a child in need...fill a stocking! Stockings will be available for pick up starting October 15, 2017. There is a minimum of 10 stockings per request and stockings are due back to the Christmas Center by December 8, 2017.
Volunteer and seasonal bell ringers needed. Register to ring: Here
