Lowe’s gives $2.5 million for Boys & Girls Clubs in 50 states to renovate

Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Charlotte were one of the Clubs selected. Officials at The Salvation Army intend to use the $50,000 grant to expand a teen room at the club’s site at 2901 Milton Road. The Charlotte Boys & Girls Clubs chapter has a national reputation for innovation, including being the first in the nation to open a club within the confines of a homeless shelter, the Center of Hope.
