As a child of parents who left Nigeria as adults and made sacrifices to give their four sons a better life, Jonathan Ifedi has attained academic excellence to repay his parents for their belief in him. With a major in computer information systems and a concentration on cyber security, Jonathan is graduating from Georgia State University in less than three years.
According to Diana Rainey, his mentor, Jonathan’s goal is to begin work on his master’s degree immediately after graduation in December 2019. The SAWA scholarship has helped with his summer school tuition these past two years, and the Bridge to the Future Scholarship will help fund his graduate school. Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary members are proud of Jonathan and his three brothers who were members of the Milton Road Boys & Girls Club and have benefited from the Sisk Scholarships.
