Stuffing the Truck with WCCB Charlotte

The Salvation Army has been privileged to partner with WCCB Charlotte for nearly 10 years on the Angel Tree program. Through that time, hundreds of children in need have been able to experience a joyful Christmas thanks to their support.

There’s hardly one more dedicated to the cause than our friend Wilson. And, those aren’t just words. He proved it this week by camping out in the Southpark Mall parking lot for the 2nd annual WCCB Subway Angel Tree Stuff the Truck event.

Our friends from Two Men and a Truck, who are tremendous partners, brought out the truck, and the community stepped up bringing out new, unwrapped toys, bikes and their Angel Tree bags.

On Friday morning, the Salvation Army brass band came out to get folks in the holiday spirit. The event culminated with Wilson’s traditional rousing rendition of Feliz Navidad.

We want to say thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this event a success. We especially want to thank Southpark Mall, Subway, Acosta Heating & Air, Two Men and a Truck and WCCB Charlotte.

Can’t wait until next year!

Join Wilson and adopt a child.
