Don't Just Raise Funds, Raise Awareness

Here are a few helpful tips and tricks you can use on Social Media to bring awareness to The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte and the Red Kettle Campaign.

1)Share your experience ringing the iconic Red Kettle.

Your friends and family love to know what you are doing, so why not share with them what you do with your free time and how you’re helping a great cause. What better way to do that than taking a selfie!

2)Use hashtags!

Hashtags are the best way to find post relation to yours- so use them! Some hashtag ideas:

Hashtags also help provide a little more context for what you’re doing. People should know why you are ringing the bell, you’re raising critical funds for year round programming here in the Charlotte area.

3)Make a video

Videos are another great way to get attention. Make a video, less than 60 seconds, explaining what you are doing or you at the Red Kettle having fun and mention that they can always donate online if they can’t stop by while you are volunteering.

4)Create your own Virtual Red Kettle and share.

Remind them that donations support homeless women and children at the Center of Hope, youth programs at area Boys & Girls Clubs and much more. And of course, what is better than donating from the comfort of your own home?

5)Tag us so we can find you

Make sure to tag your experience on twitter @Salamryclt, Instagram SalvationArmyClt, or FaceBook The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte. So we can see the fun you are having-we want to share with our followers!
