Aramark Employees Pick Salvation Army for ABC Day.

As part of Aramark’s ongoing commitment to health and wellness, company associates across the nation united to inspire families worldwide to make healthy food, nutrition and lifestyle choices. On Sept. 20, more than 40 volunteers came to The Salvation Army Center of Hope to work with Stop Hunger Now and our residents to help pack 10,000 meals for adults and children who go hungry in other countries.

While the residents and Aramark volunteers danced, sang and packed meal packs, other volunteers were completing painting projects at the Center of Hope or volunteering back at the Aramark offices packing snack packs, a lunch bag filled with healthy snacks, for our Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club members.

Each year, Aramark in Charlotte commits their “Aramark Building Community Day” to help The Salvation Army and Boys & Girls Clubs clients and members learn healthy lifestyle choices, as well as, sprucing up the facilities, by painting and building wellness stations on the playground.

One Aramark volunteer was happy that they were able to have the Center of Hope residents help pack the meals with them, “It’s great to see the people The Salvation Army serves, giving back to people who also need help.”

We want to thank Aramark for continuing to work with us on their “Aramark Building Community Day” and stepping up and filling a need in the community throughout the year.
