BB&T Lighthouse Project Comes to Milton Road

Most days at our Clubs, the staff spends the day preparing for our members to arrive after school. Today, at our Milton Road Boys & Girls Club, it was a little different. We enjoyed welcoming our friends from BB&T, who gave their time to help spruce up the Club.

The volunteers are a part of the BB&T Lighthouse Project, an annual project providing BB&T associates with an opportunity to make a difference in their communities through company supported and funded service projects while having fun. Since 2009, through the Lighthouse Project, BB&T completed more than 7,700 community projects; donated more than 385,000 volunteer hours; and impacted the lives of more than 11 million people!

Today, their impact was local, and when our members arrive at the Club today, they’ll see it firsthand.

The playground has new benches and fresh rubber mulch, and the game room has new board games, footballs, bean bag chairs and computer monitors.

We are so thankful for corporate partners like BB&T, and how they shine a light right here in our community.
