You can make a difference with just a click of your mouse…yes, it’s that easy!
The Salvation Army in Charleston is one of more than 180 nonprofit organizations that are a part of Lowcountry Giving Day on May 5, 2015. This special event, hosted by Coastal Community Foundation, is an opportunity for people to invest in their community.
All of the money donated for The Salvation Army will benefit the Moncks Corner Service Unit. It is a critical instrument that provides people in Berkeley County in need with clothing, food and help with utilities.
Here is how Lowcountry Giving Day works…it’s very simple!
You make a donation online with your credit or debit card on May 5 from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. The minimum amount is $25, but as far as the maximum amount…the sky is the limit! Remember that it is all tax deductible.
For those of you that prefer to write a check, there are a few stipulations.
1. Checks must be made out to Coastal Community Foundation with The Salvation Army's Moncks Corner Service Unit in the memo line. The other option is to have a letter with distribution instructions signed by the same person who signed the check.
2. Checks MUST be received by Friday, April 24, 2015. Coastal Community Foundation will accept gifts by check starting on Monday, April 20, 2015
3. Please send all checks to the following address:
                        Coastal Community Foundation
                        635 Rutledge Avenue, Suite 201
                        Charleston, SC 29403.
Don’t forget to use the hashtag #LiftTheLowcountry when, during or after making your donation to help motivate others to give back to our community and support the Salvation Army!
