Ingram's Strawberry Farm

Our Boys & Girls had a BLAST learning about how plants grow, picking strawberries, petting the farm animals, and eating homemade ice cream!

Starting at 10:30 am, our Boys & Girls arrived at the Farm and were greated by the Ingram Farm manager. Under a cool shelter she taught our students how plants grow and the differnce between fruits and vegetables. At the end of the lesson, the Boys & Girls took a ride on the farm tractor up to the strawberry patch. After everyone arrived at the patch, the farm manager explained the correct way to pick the berries and sent all 45 of our students into the field to begin picking! By 12:00 pm each one of our students was taking home a full basket of stawberries! After a tractor ride back down the hill, our Boys & Girls enjoyed petting the farm animals, including cows, pigs, chickens, goats, and sheep! To wrap up the day, each student received a cup of homemade vanilla ice cream!
