Ingram's Strawberry Farm
Our Boys & Girls had a BLAST learning about how plants grow, picking strawberries, petting the farm animals, and eating homemade ice cream!
Starting at 10:30 am, our Boys & Girls arrived at the Farm and were greeted by the Ingram Farm manager. Under a cool shelter she taught our students how strawberries grow, and gave an overview of everyday farm life. At the end of the lesson, the Boys & Girls excitedly walked up to the overflowing strawberry patch. After everyone arrived at the patch, the farm manager explained the correct way to pick the berries and sent all of our students into the field to begin picking! By 12:00 pm each one of our students was taking home a full basket of strawberries! After lunch, our Boys & Girls enjoyed petting the farm animals, and to wrap up the day, each student received a cup of homemade vanilla ice cream!
