Youth Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Gage Rice!

North & South Carolina Youth Hall of Fame Award

This award is given to a teenager or young adult who is consistently faithful to God in service to others, Christ-like in their living, and who shines the light of Jesus into the lives of youth in their corps, family, school and community.

“Gage has stood out for us since we came to the High Point Command," explains Lars & Ingrid Ljungholm. "He is knowledgeable and passionate about the Bible. He is an inspiration and a model of Christ-like living to all of us here at the Corps. He is very patient and loving toward people, and he often acts as a peacemaker among friends and family."

He is involved in the praise team and teaches guitar. He’s a senior soldier, a Corps Cadet, and helps out with Teen Night. He has taught in VBS and teaches with the Club 316 program. He has volunteered for many outreach opportunities including Fall Festivals and serving on the canteen. He works two jobs and never misses church. He has volunteered with kettles and food drives. He works at The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club as a Program Aide and does a fantastic job leading the kids in daily devotions. He also decided on his own to join the US Army National Guard while he was still in High School as his way to serve others, and has felt God's calling on his life to purse fulltime ministry through future officership.
