Sherri Henderson, Executive Director

"I love working at The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club. I enjoy seeing our children smile and hearing them laugh. I like being a mentor, someone whom they can trust and can talk to when faced with a difficult situation. Working with the next generation is important and the most rewarding job in the world!"

Robby Burnette, Unit Director

Graduate from Elon University. Robby began his career at The Boys and Girls Club in 2000. Robby Is an Alumni of the Club.

"I was raised by a single parent, and as a kid the most important thing about the Boys and Girls Club was that I had role models to look up to. Coming back to the Boys and Girls Club after college was a calling; I wanted to give back. I've been here ten years and the 'thank you' I get from the kids everyday, those who are going there now and those that have graduated, means more to me than the money I could make somewhere else."

Tara Nager, Program Director

Graduate from Elon University. Tara began volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club in 2008 and became a full-time employee in 2012.

"I have a passion for working with children and their families. I believe that each individual child is important and should be aware of their potential. By working at The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, I am able to help these children to discover their potential through after school activities."

Detrick Pinnix, Program Assistant

Detrick is attending Alamance Community College. He is an Alumni of the Club. Former Youth of the Year. Detrick has been volunteering at the Club since 2006 and joined the staff in 2009.

"I've always had a passion for working with children. I feel that children need that extra push to help keep them on that straight path. Being at the Club for so many years has opened my eyes to all the things that I can bring to the Club being the youngest staff here. Have hope and dream big and you will never go wrong."

Kenesha Thompson, Education Director

Kenesha graduated from North Carolina A&T State University. Kenesha started working at the Club in June 2014.

"Working with kids has become a great experience.  They get to learn from me and I learn new things as well.  With all the laughs, smiles, and hugs, it's all worth it at the end of the day."
