I am a humble steward of other people’s generosity.
I am a grateful courier of a stranger’s kindness.
I am the faithful executor of others’ goodwill.
I take my responsibility seriously.
I am blessed.
I am a blessing.

I am The Salvation Army.
I am doing the most good.

What Is The Salvation Army?

When he saw hurt and pain surrounding the people in his community, William Booth, a Methodist preacher in London, England, decided that he would work to do something about it. Since 1865, The Salvation Army has grown into an international organization that serves millions of people around the world. We provide food, shelter, and essential services.

We do this, motivated by the same love of God today that motivated Booth so many years ago.

Sharing God's love with others is important to our mission as well. We believe that the creator desires to have a relationship with each and every person He has created.

The Salvation Army in the Carolinas

The Salvation Army began responding to needs in the Carolinas in 1887. Now, we operate in every county, bringing hope, love, and light where it is needed most. Not only do we serve those in need of food, clothing, and shelter, we have afterschool programs that we operate in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. We operate innovative, life-saving programs like Project FIGHT (Freeing Individuals Gripped by Human Trafficking) as well as Pathway of Hope and Project CATCH, aimed a longer term, coordinated care.
