The FIGHT against Human Trafficking

Legacy of Family & Civic Group Lives on in Center of Hope

The Salvation Army has been operating out of their new facility, The Judy D Zelnak Center of Hope at 1863 Capital Blvd, for just over a year. The facility has expanded programs and created partnerships with various agencies throughout the county, including Capital City Civitan Club. The Capital City Civitan Club will confirm their commitment to becoming actively involved with The Salvation Army by presenting them with a check for $15,000. The presentation will include key members of the club and take place at 5:30pm on Thursday, September 25 at 1863 Capital Blvd. The decision to fund came after receiving a tour, where the club decided that The Salvation Army met their criteria and would be a worthy recipient of funds. The club’s president-elect, Fran Hoch states, “The Civitan Creed which we recite at each meeting says that “Our hands do the work of the world and reach out in service to others.” The work of The Salvation Army in this community clearly demonstrates our Creed.”
