Programs that Nurture
How We Build Character
In addition to providing assistance services such as Adult Rehabilitation, Emergency and Disaster Services, and Family Store Ministries, The Salvation Army provides services which provide nurturing and development programs to youth and adults alike. These programs aim to promote development among all facets of an individuals, incluing physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
The Salvation Army offers more than their well-known Social Services programs. All around the country, we offer programs designed to harness and develop creativity and the arts in children and adults. We have nationally-accredited camping facilities and operate summer camps for children of all ages. At our worship facilities we conduct Bible studies, youth development programs, fellowship groups for men, women, seniors and other interest groups.
There are service groups that proactively seek ways in which to help the community and even travel to various parts of the world to participate in "missions" service projects.
The Salvation Army is more than just the Red Kettles at Christmas time. Browse through some of the programs listed in the menu above to get more information.
