Volunteering

Come on out and get involved in your community!

Since its beginning, volunteers have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the Salvation Army to provide help for the poor and downtrodden and those affected by natural disasters. In fact, the name "The Salvation Army" came about in 1878 when William Booth adapted it from a phrase he read in a report that described the organization as a "volunteer army." Often referred to as "the army behind The Army," volunteers play a crucial role in the Salvation Army's ability to provide quality social services to the local community.

We have many different opprotunities here at the Salvation Army from working in one of our Thrift Stores to Nursing Home Ministry, and a whole lot more!

So if you feel like getting out of the house and GETTING INVOLVED in YOUR COMMUNITY then call our office at 346-8800.
