Christmas Assistance

Need Knows No Season

In 2014, over 5,000 children were assisted by The Salvation Army in Greenville, Pickens, and Oconee Counties. We are humbled by our communities' commitments to donate funds, new toys and clothes, and their time to ensure that all children in need are able to enjoy the Joys of the Season! Thank you!

The "miracle" of Christmas is repeated over and over again through the joy of caring and sharing. Donations provide Christmas dinners, clothing, and toys for families in need. Families of prisoners often are included.  Lack of adequate income prevents many families from providing Christmas gifts for their children and from putting a nutritious meal on the table on Christmas Day. While it may not be readily apparent, this heartbreaking scenario is played out in the lives of tens of thousands of low-income families in Greenville, Pickens, and Oconee Counties.

The Salvation Army's Christmas Assistance program depends on generous gifts and contributions from caring and concerned individuals who want to help their fellow citizens.
