They “Spread the Word” and Came!
The 17th annual benefit, Toast of the Town, was held in support of the Salvation Army of Spartanburg’s Community Center at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium on April 20th.
Jack Roper, local television personality, was roasted and ribbed as part of the evening’s entertainment. Humorous anecdotes were thrown at Roper by Dr. Bill & Brenda James (long-time friends), Jeff Roper (his son), and Phil Lane (General Manager at WSPA).
Monies raised from Toast of the Town ticket sales will benefit youth programs at Spartanburg’s Community Center, which is located in the Una / Saxon area.
