YOUTH PROGRAMS
Adventure Corps, Sunbeams, and Girl Guards are programs established in The Salvation Army similar to Boy and Girl Scouting programs. These programs are arranged by grade level and strive to develop leadership skills and spiritual growth through badge work.
Corps Cadets is a 5 year Bible study program that focuses on spiritual development with a set curriculum.
Praise band/Timbrels are a way for the youth of the church to express themselves through music. Practices will be held weekly.
Social Services
The social service office in Rock Hill provides assistance Monday– Thursday from 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. for residents of York and Lancaster Counties with past due rent; mortgage; utility bills; heart, diabetic and blood pressure medications; food; and emergency transportation. The Family Center Of Hope, a transitional housing program for families with children, provides temporary housing up to 90 days. This program helps families to re-establish their independence while receiving, money management, parenting, and education, and job skill training.
The Chester Service Unit located at 119 Cestrain Square in Chester, SC provides social services to the residents of Chester County. The Family Store provides gently used items at a more affordable cost. Donations needed are clothing, furniture, housewares, etc. All funds raised help provide assistance to those in need in York, Chester, and Lancaster counties. For more information call 803-377-1428
