NightWatch
NightWatch is a ministry that began in November of 2004 and continues today. A group of volunteers from many area churches and civic groups meet at the Center of Hope and gather in prayer before heading out to visit with the homeless where they are. They bring food, snacks, hygiene kits, Bibles and the love of Jesus Christ to different sites in Greensboro and minister to the homeless. For more information or to volunteer contact Steve Still at 336-235-0362 or steven.still@uss.salvationarmy.org
NightWatch is an evangelical street outreach ministry to the homeless in Greensboro. On Friday nights, the NightWatch team visits homeless people where they are — on the street, in the woods, under bridges.
NightWatch distributes hot food, snack bags, blankets, hygiene kits and other items necessary to help meet the immediate physical needs of unsheltered homeless people. NightWatch team members pray with and spend time talking to the people they encounter on the street — focusing on their spiritual needs, and their need for friendship, fellowship and community. » Scriptural Foundation: Matthew 25:31-40
The NightWatch team is made up of volunteers from churches, colleges, and groups all over the Triad. The NightWatch ministry is evangelical and non-denominational. NightWatch team members are united by faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and by a shared call to minister to "the least of these" in His name.
