Walk-ins are welcomed, but scheduled appointments are preferred.


Fridays are by scheduled appointments only.


For Emergency Assistance, clients will be asked to provide:


* Driver's license or a picture ID card

* Social Security card for client and/or household members

* Proof of household income

* Original bill


A casework interview will be conducted to see how your needs can be met. All information obtained is confidential. However, in order to better serve the client, certain information must be verified and shared. Any agency with which this information is shared must also respect the client's right to privacy and maintain the information in a confidential manner. Financial assistance is provided once a year from the client's application.


The Chatham County Service Unit also provides a Food Pantry and is available for client's needs provided items are available.
